Description
The Institut de Sélection Animale formed in 1975 and known universally as l’ISA or commonly as ISA, remained as that name for 22 years. During that time the nature of breeding had changed fundamentally through rapidly evolving analytical methods to estimate breeding values and the construction of breeding facilities with a very clean environment and effective isolation from pathogenic and zoonotic bacteria, parasites, fungi, and viruses.
This account covers the period from 1975 to the formation of Hubbard-ISA in 1997.
